Abstract
Nationally,
Indonesia has targeted renewing up to 23% of its mix renewable energy sources
by 2025. To support the program, the government has also planned the
construction of Rooftop Photovoltaic Solar Systems (RPVSS); in this case a
roof-top plant. Industrial engineering laboratory building, Bukit Indah, Universitas
Malikussaleh. Potential energy calculation to be generated from the
installation of on-grid roof-top solar power plants using the Global Solar
Atlas application based upon the area of the roof and also the optimization
of energy absorption based on data on electricity usage from the laboratory
building for the last 3 months using the data usage of energy transaction
measurement tools, namely kwh meter. Results of the analysis disclosed that 115
solar panel (300 WP Shinyoku Polycrystalline) need to be installed in order to
obtain the maximum RPVSS power. 34,429Wp power would be produced using 21% of
the building roof area to supply maximum load at noon at 17,559 Wh.
